The Children’s Programs are an integral part of the Daniel Pierce Library. By participating in the programs, parents/caregivers and their children enjoy the opportunity of meeting other families with young children, making new friends, and helping to develop a love of reading and books. During the school year, seven different preschool programs are offered, including a partnership with Tri-Valley Central School to service the children enrolled in the Universal Pre-Kindergarten programs. Summer Reading Programs provide fun-filled events for families and reading incentives for children of all ages. Please refer to the information provided below.
Fall is quickly approaching, and it is time to register for the Daniel Pierce Library Children’s Programs. The Story Hour program (for three, four, and five-year-olds) and the Toddler Time program (for children 24 months to 35 months) will once again be held at the Grahamsville United Methodist Church Hall. Please note that the Mother Goose Time program (for children 12 months to 23 months) will once again be held at the Daniel Pierce Library.
The three, four, and five-year-old Story Hour programs will begin on Thursday, October 14, 2010 with two sessions, at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Toddler Time programs will begin on Friday, October 15, 2010, with two sessions, at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Mother Goose Time will begin on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, with two sessions, at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. These programs will last approximately one hour, and are scheduled for eight weeks. They will end the week of December 8. We encourage all parents, grandparents, and caregivers to participate in the programs.
