Central
Hudson Gas & Electric and Orange and Rockland Utilities (Joint
Utilities) have engaged with the Ramapo Catskill Library System member
libraries to bring to its customers access to HomeBoost – A
Do-It-Yourself Home Every Assessment Program. The Joint Utilities have
engaged with HomeBoost to provide Thermal Imaging Cameras for checkout
by local library patrons that will allow customers to perform a DIY Home
Energy Assessment. It comes with everything you need to check your
home’s efficiency, plus step-by-step help from the HomeBoost app. After
the customer performs the assessment, they will get a FREE custom energy
report by email, a $99 value, courtesy of the Joint Utilities. This
report provides insights, recommendations and information on available
Utility incentives and rebates. In addition, the user will receive a
personalize video with guided instructions on where to save!
Note:
NYSEG does not yet offer this service free of charge. When it becomes
available, libraries in the NYSEG area will be notified.
